For the apple-lemon syrup, first wash the glass bottles and lids hot and boil them. Turn them upside down and let them dry. Place directly in the place where you want to bottle (tray with cloth).

Mix apple juice, lemon juice and sugar in a wide pot. Then boil the mixture for about 8 minutes. Skim if necessary. Pass through a sieve and bring to the boil again.

Immediately pour apple-lemon syrup into bottles, to just below the rim, and seal. Turn upside down and allow to cool. Store in a dark and cool place.

Preparation Tip:

Apple-lemon syrup can be diluted with water or prosecco. With rum it becomes a cocktail but also in tea the syrup is a fine flavorful addition.
