Ingredients:

For the curd dough:

Instructions:

Mix the egg with the curd, butter, flour and a pinch of salt. Divide the curd dough into about 8-10 equal-sized pieces.

Bring a large pot of water to the boil. Wash the apricots well.

Now take one piece of the dough at a time and press it on the palm of your hand to form a flat round circle. Place an apricot in the center and now roll the dough into a dumpling so that the apricot is completely surrounded by curd dough.

Carefully place the dumplings in the slightly boiling water and simmer for about 10 minutes until the dumplings are cooked and rise to the surface of the water.

In the meantime, melt the butter in a pan. Mix the breadcrumbs with some cinnamon and toast them briefly in the butter.

After the apricot dumplings are cooked, toss them briefly in the breadcrumbs.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve immediately hot.

Preparation Tip:

If you want to pit the apricots beforehand, it is recommended to put a sugar cube inside instead. This will make the apricot dumplings even sweeter.
