For baked apple dumplings, first peel and dice the apples. Mix with rum, raisins and cinnamon.

Beat egg whites until stiff. Mix egg yolk with milk, flour and salt until smooth. Fold in the beaten egg whites. Then quickly mix in the apples.

Grease an ovenproof dish. Form dumplings from the dough and place them in the pan. Bake for about 20 minutes at 170 °C.

Arrange the baked apple dumplings on plates, sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve garnished with fresh mint.
