This cold punch is pleasantly tart in flavor, due to which what for people who like to enjoy a slightly alcoholic refreshment.

Boil sugar and tap water. Separate the lemon from the peel. Add peel to mixture.

Leave to infuse in covered saucepan for 5 min. Remove lemon peel. Cool.

Add lemon and grapefruit juice. Place ice cubes in a punch bowl or pitcher. Pour the syrup over it. Just before serving, add the beer. Spike lemon slices with cloves and let them infuse briefly in the liquid.

Tip: Always use organic lemons for cooking, if possible!
