Instructions:

For the break cut banana cake, first prepare the base. Separate the eggs and beat the egg yolks with the sugar until foamy. Beat the egg whites until not too firm.

Stir the flour, the pulp of a vanilla pod and the milk into the egg yolks, then carefully fold in the egg whites.

Empty into a springform pan lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven at 170°C for about 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool.

For the topping, whip the whipped cream with the sugar until it is firm. Roughly chop the Manner puff pastry pieces.

For the topping, melt the chocolate, lemon juice and whipped cream in a bowl over a bain-marie.

Remove the cake from the springform pan and spread the chocolate on top. Peel the bananas and cut them in half lengthwise. Place on top of the cake, cover with the whipped cream and sprinkle with the chopped Manner Pause Slices.

Serve the pause-cut banana cake.

Preparation Tip:

The ingredients for the break cut banana cake are enough for a 24 cm springform pan.
