A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Beat 1 whole egg and 3 egg yolks with the powdered sugar until creamy.

Add cognac, vanilla sugar, sunflower oil or other vegetable oil little by little, mix well.

Gradually add the sifted flour with the pinch of salt and the baking powder.

Beat the 3 egg whites with a little salt until stiff, fold into the mixture.

Form into any baking dish (cake or round, in about 22 cm). Put it in the cold oven set to 180 degrees and bake for about 45 minutes.

After cooling, cover with chocolate icing as you like.
