Warm the butter slightly, it should only become viscous.

Mix the flour, orange juice, sugar and butter together well and place in the refrigerator for an hour.

Preheat the oven to 190 °C.

Lightly grease a baking tray with butter and dust with a tiny bit of flour. Using a palette, spread the mixture onto the baking sheet in thin, round talers – about five cm in diameter – and bake in the oven for about eight to twelve minutes until golden brown.

Take out the baking sheet, cool briefly, then remove the hips from the baking sheet with a palette. While still warm, shape the hips into small bags or tulips: either place them in a mug to obtain the typical tulip shape, or shape them around a thick (conical) pin to form small rolls or bags.

These orange hips are ideal with ice cream.
