For the fan potato with cheese, wash the potatoes and cut them in about 5 mm thick. Caution: Do not cut all the way to the bottom. The potato should be cut only on the top and keep the bottom so that the cheese can be pushed into the compartments.

Preheat the oven to 200°C top and bottom heat.

Now cut the bacon and some cheese into small slices and push them into the openings of the potatoes. Place the potatoes on a baking tray covered with baking paper and drizzle with some whipped cream. Season with salt, pepper and to taste, dried herbs.

Cover the potatoes with the grated cheese and let them gratinate in the oven for about 25-30 minutes. Once the cheese is melted, serve the fan-fried potatoes with cheese and enjoy immediately while warm.
