For stuffed figs in caramel sauce, rinse figs with water and rub dry. Cut a lid off the fruit.

Knead marzipan with amaretto, lime juice and zest and pine nuts and roll into small balls. Press one ball into each fig and replace the lid.

For the caramel sauce, lightly caramelize sugar in a saucepan. Add the butter, let it foam up and pour in the whipping cream. Reduce the sauce slightly.

Place the stuffed figs side by side in a small baking dish and pour the caramel sauce around them. Cook the stuffed figs in caramel sauce in the preheated oven at 180 °C for about 8 minutes.

Preparation Tip:

You can take the pulp out of the figs with a spoon, mix it with marzipan, amaretto, lime zest and juice and yogurt and fill the fruits with it. Sprinkle the filled figs in caramel sauce with a little cinnamon powder before serving.
