Beat eggs with water until creamy. Add spices, lemon and orange peel and vanilla sugar.
vanilla sugar. Mix flour with baking powder and fold in. Chop dates and figs and knead into the dough mixture with candied lemon peel, candied orange peel, raisins, hazelnuts and almond kernels. Roll out the dough to the thickness of a thumb on a greased baking tray and place in the preheated oven.

and orange juice and coat the hot cake with it.
Garnish with almond kernels and fruit and cut into strips after cooling.
Tip: Cook only with high-quality spices – they are the be-all and end-all in a good dish!
