For the marinade, cut the onions into rings, press the garlic and chop the kitchen herbs. Mix well with the remaining ingredients in a baking bowl.

Cut the meat into slices at the beginning, then into tender strips. Mix with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 120 minutes or overnight.

Cucumber vegetables: remove the skin from the cucumber, cut in half, remove the seeds and cut into coarse pieces. Chop garlic and onion. Fry everything briefly in hot olive oil. Add bay leaf spice. Reduce temperature. Grate lemon peel directly to it, season with salt. Cover and cook for ten to fifteen minutes until soft. If necessary, add a little water.

Remove bay leaf seasoning. Chop parsley, mix in and season.

Just before serving, heat the oil in a wide frying pan. Remove meat from marinade. Sear and season heartily, one portion at a time. Return all the meat to the frying pan. Extinguish with the marinade and a little water. Bring to the boil briefly, season and bring to the table on the spot.

Serve with the cucumber vegetables (hot or lukewarm). Garnish with Greek sour cream or yogurt to taste.
