If you want to save, you can bake good shortcrust pastry just as with grammels (grammel residue from the omission of lard), half a kilo of which costs only 40Pfennige(!),-)))).
Grammeln finely chopped (best grate through the meat machine), grated sugar, butter, hazelnuts, juice, flour, egg + grated peel of clove powder, cinnamon, lemon, salt and baking powder are processed on the board into a dough. Then cut out stars, brush them with egg yolk and bake over medium heat until crisp. Stored in tin cans, they already keep for a long time.
