Rinse and strip the kale. Pour boiling hot water, drain and coarsely chop.

Boil the kale with salted water, pepper and sugar, and simmer on low heat for 1 and a quarter hours, in the last half hour put the pieces of meat on the kale. Serve with fried potatoes – with sugar.
