For the kale stew, sauté onions and bacon cubes in a pot. Add the kale and vegetable soup and bring to a boil. Then cook over medium heat in a closed pot.

Keep stirring in between, after about 1 hour add the sliced sausages and simmer for another 15 minutes. Meanwhile, peel and wash the potatoes, cut them in half and cook them in salted water in a second pot.

When the cabbage is cooked, season the vegetables with salt and pepper and a little nutmeg. When the potatoes are done, drain them and add them to the vegetables. If you like, you can mash them coarsely with a potato masher. Mix everything together thoroughly and season the kale stew again!
