A bean recipe for every taste:

Clean and chop the beans, blanch in boiling hot salted water.

Chop or finely dice the ham, remove the skin from the potatoes and cut them into thin slices. Layer beans, ham and potatoes alternately in a greased ovenproof dish. Mix eggs with milk. Season with salt, pepper, a little bit of savory and juice of a lemon. Pour over potatoes and beans. Sprinkle grated Gouda cheese on top and put butter or margarine flakes on top. Cook everything with closed lid in heated oven (electric stove 180 degrees /gas stove level 2) in about 30 to 40 minutes.
