Instructions:

For the Apple Pie, put the flour, butter, salt and sugar in a baking bowl and knead into a crumb dough.

Add the iced water and the egg yolk and knead briefly. Chill the dough for 20 minutes.

Roll out half the dough on floured surface and line a greased and floured pie or tart springform pan with it. Prick the dough often with a fork.

For the filling, separate the apples from the peel and cut them into slices, mix them with the juice of one lemon, the lemon peel, the vanilla sugar, the sugar, the starch, the currants and the spices and put them on the dough base.

Roll out the remaining dough, put it on the apples and brush with egg white. Press the pastry top tightly to the edge.

Put the Apple Pie in the preheated oven and bake at 200° Celsius for 30 minutes.

Preparation Tip:

As a variation, you can spread the still hot Apple Pie with heated apricot jam. Then allow to cool.
