For the chocolate cake, preheat the oven to 180 degrees. Grease a springform pan with butter. Chop the chocolate into larger pieces and quarter the butter.

Melt both in a saucepan. Stir in the sugar. Beat the eggs and add the salt. Stir this into the chocolate mixture.

Pour the mixture into the springform pan and place in the oven. Bake for 30 minutes and then let cool for a few minutes. Remove from the mold and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
