For the shortcrust pastry, sift the baking powder into the flour. Put the flour on the work surface or in a large bowl and add the sugar, vanilla sugar and salt.

Quickly knead together with the egg and butter to form a dough.

Wrap the shortcrust pastry in cling film and leave to rest in the refrigerator for about 2 hours before processing.

Preheat the oven to 170 ºC hot air.

Roll out the dough on a work surface sprinkled with flour. Cut out stars. Cut a hole in half of the cookies (for example, also in the shape of a star). Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for about 12 minutes.

After cooling, sprinkle the cookie stars with the hole with powdered sugar. Using the jam, glue each cookie base together with a perforated shortbread star.
