Instructions:

For the spicy basil spaghetti, first boil the pasta in salted water until al dente, strain (catch the pasta water!) and drizzle with a little olive oil. These are put aside in the meantime.

The basil is now plucked small, the garlic peeled and chopped and the cheese grated. Now stir the basil together with the garlic, cheese, pine nuts, lemon juice, chili powder, nutmeg, salt and pepper into the whipping cream and bring to a boil in a pot. Also add some of the pasta water to the top mixture. Now continue to simmer until the sauce thickens.

Finally, taste again and fold in the pasta. The spicy basil spaghetti is now only sprinkled with Parmesan and best served immediately.
