Peel and dice the potatoes. Dice the dried meat as well. Put the potatoes on a greased baking tray and sprinkle with the bacon cubes. Season with salt and pepper. Bake in the heated stove until golden brown.

Serve with chive or cucumber salad. “Lyoner” (which probably means “meat sausage” outside the Saarland) or possibly liver loaf, which is simply baked on the baking tray.

Our tip: Use bacon with a fine, smoky note!
