Peel the onion and cut into small cubes. Then cut the ham into small pieces. In a little oil, sauté the onion until translucent and then briefly fry the ham. Add whipping cream and milk.

Quickly stir in the cornflour with a whisk, as long as the liquid does not yet boil up, so that no lumps form. Season to taste with salt, pepper and parsley and boil down briefly. Meanwhile, cook the tortellini in boiling water and strain.

Pour the tortellini into a baking dish and pour the sauce over it (the sauce should be relatively thick and not too watery). Let it thicken further if needed or add some more cornstarch. If it gets too thick add some more milk). Stir the tortellini with the sauce again well so that everything is nicely distributed. Then sprinkle with grated cheese and bake at about 200°C degrees (depending on the oven) for about 10-15 minutes. The cheese should be nicely browned and crispy.
