Instructions:

Cream butter, yolks, salt, half of the sugar, rum and vanilla. Beat egg whites with remaining sugar until stiff. Stir grated nuts, chocolate, flour and finally beaten egg whites into the batter. Spread mixture on prepared baking sheet and bake in preheated oven at about 165 to 175 °C for 13 to 15 minutes on sight. For the meringue, beat egg whites with sugar until stiff and spread on the slices. Sprinkle with nuts or almonds and bake again at approx. 100 °C for about 10 minutes.
