For the dried fruit stuffed turkey, bring the dried fruit to a boil once in a small saucepan covered with water and set aside.

Season the turkey inside and out with salt and pepper.

Cut the white bread into cubes and pour boiling milk over it.

Strain dried fruit and also cut into cubes and mix with the bread cubes.

Stir in the egg, add the cinnamon and season again.

Fill the turkey with this mixture and place it in a roasting pan.

Peel and chop the carrots and onion and add them to the roaster with the chicken soup.

Roast the turkey at about 200 °C for about 2 1/2 hours. Keep basting with the juices that have run out.

Remove the turkey from the roaster and keep warm.

Strain the juice with the diced vegetables through a sieve into a saucepan and thicken with cornstarch. Season again to taste.

Arrange the turkey with dried fruit stuffing on a platter and serve the sauce separately.
