Instructions:

Rinse, hull and quarter the strawberries. Melt one packet of vanilla sugar in orange liqueur. Pour over the strawberries and infuse for half an hour.

Whip the whipped cream until stiff. Sweeten with the second packet of vanilla sugar and leave to cool.

For the waffle batter, beat the butter and sugar until creamy. Gradually add the eggs. Continue beating on high speed until a light cream is formed. Sift together flour, cornstarch and baking powder. Stir into the mixture with the remaining ingredients. Preheat the waffle iron. Grease with clarified butter. Pour in the batter for one waffle and spread. Close the iron and make sure that the batter does not overflow. Bake the waffles until golden brown.

Serve the still warm waffles with strawberries and whipped cream.
